This week’s Food Word of the Week is:
freezer burn

When frozen food is poorly wrapped it loses its moisture and oxygen molecules can leak in dulling the color and changing the flavor of the food.

Used in a sentence: Cookies should be delicious. If you made holiday cookies last year and froze them, please do not give them to people this year. They will have freezer burn which makes cookies un-delicious and makes for a very disappointing cookie experience.
