30 Days of Food Inspiration – Day 30

Day 30: Steak on the grill.

What could be more quintessentially summer than steak on the grill? We treated ourselves this week to two grass-fed beef rib eye steaks. We bathed them in a little olive oil and a spice rub then seared them to medium on the grill. K was going for medium rare, but grass-fed beef cooks more quickly than conventional meat — they were still juicy and amazingly, purely meaty. We also grilled some asparagus then topped it with a bacon and shallot vinaigrette. Can’t get more summer than that.

So, there you have it folks — 30 days of food inspiration. From iced tea to cocktails to salads to grill dinners to fancy restaurant desserts and everything in between. Next up, a few weeks of our favorite Top Chef recipes made home-cook friendly then the debut of the new season of Top Chef Masters. We’re going to lobby Bravo to let us be the official recipe blog of this season of Top Chef Masters, so I hope you’ll join in the cause! We want everyone to be able to cook “TV chef food” at home. If we can do it, you can do it. You’ll see…
